Due to high energy cost from home heating fuels. We have added energy audits to our services.

Most people are staying in there homes longer, making them more fuel effcient. A Home Energy Audit can save hundreds of dollars by idenifiy were the cold is  coming from or warm air excaping to.

We do this audit by the use of our infrared camera. This allows us to find missing insulation,air leaks,moisture and heat that is escaping though out your home. This can be from windows, doors, attic hatches,vents door sweeps, heat ducts or areas in the home you can not see with the naked eye. Below is an example of what was found on a heating system when the heating pipes were incomplety wraped.
The above heat loss is 12.1 degrees in just the spotted small area of heating pipe, yes someone can feel the heat loss, but untill you see just how much with the camera you do not relise just what you are lossing when the heat is on.

Below is an example of missing ceiling insulation at a different home. Notice the diffence in temperatures!

This shows that all of the fins in the radiator are clear and working properly. We also find good things in our audits.

 The above picture is of a sloped ceiling showing missing insulation around the sky light. The bright light coming through is the morning sun.

 We also look at the panel box in all homes to see if there are any on going problems with the loads on the fuses or circuit breakers. Notice the glow of the wires to the left of the picture about the middel of the box. This is OK,the wire is within the tolarance rate for that type of wire gauge. At the time the picture was taken there was a load on the circuit.

Are normal charge at this time for a camera audit is $250.00. This is a 20-50 page report for a home up to 2000 sq. ft. You are also supplied with a summary page is what was found and what can be done to correct the problem.

The report comes with both a normal picture of the area in question and the IR picture (infrared) to identify the area.

If a disk is requested we have an additional fee of $10.00 for the disk.
